CityScape Audio Visualizer
A downloadable Visualizer for Windows
CityScape Audio Visualizer builds an infinite, procedurally generated city where windows pulse, the grid is in sync to the bass, and revolving stars twinkle to the beat—tuned with quick Performance Profiles and lots of customization options.
Audio-reactive, procedurally generated skyline visualizer with performance presets and a selection of customization options. Runs full-screen or in a resizable window. Uses your PC's audio to visualize any type of audio.
A free web-only version of the radio mode is also available to try at sammysindieradio.com/visualizer.
Features
Procedural City, Endless Looks
-
Every launch is unique. Buildings, blocks, and window grids are generated on the fly—no looping video, no canned scenes.
-
Audio-reactive windows: Light, flicker, and intensity respond to your soundtrack in real time.
-
Supports the audio directly from your PC - no need install anything else.
- Works fully offline, aside from the optional Radio Mode.

Deep Customization (make it yours)
-
Visual feel: window brightness/decay, skyline spread, silhouette height variance, glow/tint, vignette, UI scale, and more.
-
Behavior: responsiveness/sensitivity, smoothing, peak handling, idle behavior.
-
Display: windowed or fullscreen (F11 or Shift + F).
-
A Control Panel you can pop open from the top-left hotspot or Shift + C.
Two Ways to Listen
-
PC Audio Mode: visualize any audio your computer is playing (games, YouTube, Spotify—anything).
-
Radio Mode: current full support for one online radio station (Sammy's NYC Indie-Electro Radio). More stations can be added if users request them (I'll need the streaming URL).
How it works
CityScape Audio Visualizer uses a lightweight, GPU-accelerated renderer and a real-time audio analysis pipeline. The city layout and window grids are procedurally generated, then driven by amplitude/energy across bands. Profiles tweak scene complexity under the hood, so you get a stable frame rate without hand-tuning 50 sliders.
